Oofstar’s post on moshing is worthy of your attention. She questions whether moshing is sexist, but is damn sure it’s selfish. Anyway, it’s an interesting and thoughful post, and definitely made me think about my dancing at a show last night. I hadn’t thought about how some (slaughtered) lads and I were moving, till I noticed some of my friends (generally women and smaller blokes) were moving backward and putting their hands up ready to block incoming dancers. Needless to say, this made me calm the fuck down, rapid.

Anyway, that gave me food for thought, did the bruises on my arms. Next time out, I’m gonna stick to moving my hips, and let my elbows take the night off.
